British Airways(BA) was established by British Government , in the year 1974 with its primary function to manage to nationalise airline corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways, along with two regional airlines, Northeast Airlines and Cambrian Airways. All these four companies were merged together on 31 March 1974 to form British Airways. In February , the Conservative Government, as part of their broader privatisation plan , privatised British Airways taking the acquisition of British Caledonian in 1987, Dan Air in 1992 , and British Midland International in 2012, respectively. Being the founding member of One world airline alliance with Qantas, American Airlines , Cathay Pacific and the now defunct Canadian Airlines, the alliance has grown leaps and bounds to become the third largest alliance with Star Alliance and Sky Team coming at first and second respectively.

What Do Our Customers Say About Their Journey with British Airways

Customer Ratings:

I am extremely pleased with British Airways as they refunded my tickets Munich-London City-Munich within 2 working days in a friendly and professional manner: the difference between British Airways and Lufthansa is like between night and day. Friendly, professional and prompt are 3 adjectives to describe British Airways, while Lufthansa is best summed up as arrogant, impossible to contact and ignorant. Well Done and Best Wishes to all at British Airways.
